Hello there. It’s the end of 2025. For 2026, I wanted to try something different. I thought about, for the longest time, making a blog? Not the kind you expect on tumblr, though occasionally I check the platform for art and other creative pursuits, but something a bit… more personal? Somewhere without concerning myself to an algorithm. The need of a curated space is eminent as I got older, being used to different social media platforms and how exhausting it is for creatives.
I already made steps to be not so reliant on social media since last year, but even more so; the halfway mark of the 2020’s has become more obvious to me. I really don’t know what this blog would turn out. Yet, I hope my insights help enlighten some folks about the community I partake in, any local highlights, or other things that comes to mind regarding as a human being (first and foremost), art educator, and zinester.
Plans for this blog is going to me speaking about my thought processes on my projects (like OIYD! and RED SNARE), experiences with the zine/convention tabling spaces, and any other notable things I saw. Like cool stuff. Because of that, don’t expect frequent posts. Most of my time outside the online space is… well, work in my field and to take in life as much as I can.
This year has been a doozy, but I’m thankful of the experiences I’ve seen and participated in. Please look forward to what’s to come in 2026. Happy New Years.
